Sean's Magic Slate is a painting program for kids that includes several landscapes, and different objects to paint. The same landscapes that are available for painting are also present as colored templates in the program, so children, if they wish, can paint a whole picture or just add objects to the colored templates to paint only them. The colors of the already painted pictures can be changed. Among the objects to color, children can find animals, means of transport, parts of a neighborhood, and some space elements. The objects come in two sizes and can also be removed from the picture and mirrored. Also, if a child clicks on the SHIFT button, when selecting an object, that object will be randomly colored. There are other useful hot keys explained in the help file. The user interface is not really attractive and not very easy to use, it took me a while to figure out the different functions of the program. Even though the program comes with a help file, this is really a disadvantage considering that the program is going to be used by children who may not know how to read. What is more, it only provides one brush, and some little areas are difficult to paint with that brush of a big size, it ends up by painting the background or any other thing.
